My fascination with the way things work has led me to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. As a child, I often took apart and tinkered with items around the house. When I was 11, I designed my very own working self-application gel comb; although only two were made, the experience instilled a lifelong curiosity and passion for solving problems and improving everyday items to work better than its original!
NERDS has provided me a community to call home away from home. I love the people I have met at the space the people I work with as a student director. NERDS has also provided me the opportunity to expand my professional and academic network by allowing me to peruse funded research over the summer and to attend research conferences.
