One thing you might notice about me is that I wear a lot of hats—both literally and figuratively! Being a scientist and scholar, I have curiosity and passion about various subjects, but it seems none can surpass my love for behavioral neuroscience. I'm pursuing data science to strengthen my computational skills for research in the field and beyond. I also value teaching/mentoring experience; nothing makes me happier than when I'm helping other college students. When I'm not doing that or working on a project, I like to read, care for my collection of carnivorous plants, and draw.
It's only my first semester here, and Cal NERDS has already made me feel like I have a place I belong. I'm a second-generation immigrant in addition to being a transfer student, and people like Diana serve as role models for me. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be in UC LEADS and I'm excited to be even more involved with the Cal NERDS team!
