STEM Role Models

I'm a transfer student from San Diego, California majoring in astrophysics. In terms of STEM interests, I'm really interested in astronomy, more specifically the lifecycle of massive stars and multi-messenger astrophysics. I'm also interested in binary systems with compact objects such as black holes and neutron stars. My hobbies outside of academics are baking, video games, and social hangouts with my friends at local Berkeley places. I'm part of the NSF LSAMP (CAMP) here at UC Berkeley and also a team member for the python bootcamp throughout the semester. I've also won an award from the 2024 NSF CAMP symposium in Riverside and also the ThermoFisher Scientific scholar awardee.

NERDS has helped so many students like myself achieve their dreams in academia and they will continue to do so because they really care about us and want us to succeed. They have helped me so much in support and mentorship in both academics and in life that I am eternally grateful for. They selected me to conduct research and fully funded me throughout the summer.
