Career I hope to be a beacon of light for those who look like me to know that they can achieve a doctorate in a STEM field and surpass all that i have done and will do. I plan on being a mentor, friend, teacher, scientist, and pioneer.
Area of Study/Expertise Civil and Environmental Engineering

Degree PhD, 2017

I was born in Lagos Nigeria. I moved to the US at the age of 12 in search of a better education. I am a geology fanatic and I also love all aspects of science, physics, and engineering. I love sports, creating music, and woodworking. I am a former postdoctorate scholar at UCLA and a current engineer at ENGEO Incorporated.

NERDS was vital in my matriculation through graduate school. The quest to attain a PhD is tough but CalNERDS was one of the places I found consistent support and guidance.
